Direct flights from Tokyo Narita and Haneda to Taipei Taoyuan run about 4 hours on China Airlines, EVA Air, ANA, JAL, Peach, and Scoot. Osaka, Nagoya, Fukuoka, Sapporo, Okinawa, and Sendai also have direct service. Taiwan uses the New Taiwan dollar (TWD), trading at roughly 0.22 TWD per JPY. Licensed taxis queue at designated stands outside arrivals; metered fares to Taipei city centre run TWD $1,200–1,600. Uber operates with advance booking.
