Direct flights from Seoul Incheon to Taipei run about 2 hours 30 minutes on Korean Air, Asiana, China Airlines, EVA Air, T'way Air, and several low-cost carriers including Jeju Air and Tiger Air. Taiwan uses the New Taiwan dollar (TWD), trading at roughly 32 TWD per $1. EasyCard or iPASS work on Taipei MRT, buses, YouBike, and convenience stores (purchase at any MRT station for TWD 100 deposit). No mandatory vaccinations. Taiwan's high-speed rail (THSR) connects Taipei to Kaohsiung in 1 hour 34 minutes, with a tourist pass available for 3 consecutive days at TWD 2,200.
AREX (Airport Railroad Express) runs two services from Seoul Station: the Direct Train (43 min, ₩11,000, reserved seats) and the All-Stop train (66 min, ₩4,550, unreserved). Both trains serve T1 first, then T2; confirm which terminal your airline uses before boarding.Limousine buses depart from major Seoul neighborhoods and hotels (₩16,000–18,000, 60–90 min depending on traffic). Subtropical climate. Summers (May–September) are hot and very humid at 30–35°C. This is also typhoon season, with storms capable of closing the airport entirely. Winters (December–February) are mild and rainy at 14–18°C. Spring and autumn offer the most comfortable conditions.
