Qingdao Metro Line 8 connects Qingdao North Railway Station and the urban rail network to Jiaodong Airport in 40–50 minutes for CNY 10–15. The new Jiaodong Airport replaced the former Liuting Airport in 2021 and is located further from the city centre (~55 km from downtown). Airport shuttle buses depart from major city transport hubs for CNY 30–40.DiDi and taxis from central Qingdao cost CNY 120–180 depending on traffic. Driving via Jihe Expressway and the airport spur takes 50–70 minutes in normal conditions. The greater distance from the city means surface travel times are longer than at the former airport.
The Airport MRT express to Taipei Main Station departs every 15 minutes and takes 35 minutes (TWD $160). Taoyuan HSR station is also served, connecting onward to other Taiwanese cities. Licensed taxis queue at designated stands outside arrivals; metered fares to Taipei city centre run TWD $1,200–1,600. Uber operates with advance booking.
All major international rental car brands have desks in both terminals. Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 are connected by a free shuttle bus; allow 15 minutes for inter-terminal transfers.
