South Korean passport holders enter France visa-free for up to 90 days within any 180-day period across the Schengen area. No fee, no advance application. Passport must be valid for at least 3 months beyond your planned departure from the Schengen zone.

Your passport is stamped on first entry into the Schengen area. The 90-day clock runs across all 27 Schengen countries, not just France. Direct flights from Seoul Incheon to Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG) run about 12 hours on Korean Air, Asiana, and Air France. France uses the euro. No mandatory vaccinations. The Paris Metro has 16 lines and a single t+ ticket costs EUR 2.15 (buy a carnet of 10 for EUR 17.35 via the Ile-de-France Mobilites app). Tax-free shopping (detaxe) refunds 12% on purchases over EUR 100.01 at participating stores. Process refunds at the Pablo kiosk at CDG before checking bags. Paris has a Korean quarter in the 15th arrondissement near Rue Blomet with Korean restaurants, groceries, and a Korean church.

AREX (Airport Railroad Express) runs two services from Seoul Station: the Direct Train (43 min, ₩11,000, reserved seats) and the All-Stop train (66 min, ₩4,550, unreserved). Both trains serve T1 first, then T2; confirm which terminal your airline uses before boarding.Limousine buses depart from major Seoul neighborhoods and hotels (₩16,000–18,000, 60–90 min depending on traffic). KAL and LIMOUSINE services are reliable. Taxis from central Seoul cost ₩65,000–80,000 and take 60–90 minutes. Deluxe (black) taxis are pricier but English-speaking drivers are more common.

RER B to central Paris (Gare du Nord 25 min, Châtelet 30 min) costs €11.80. Take the free CDGVAL train from T1 or T3 to the RER station at T2 first. Heavy luggage is awkward on this line during rush hour; some platforms have no escalators.Fixed taxis: €55 to Right Bank, €65 to Left Bank. Ride-hail (Uber) costs €40–65. Le Bus Direct coaches run to Montparnasse, Opéra, and the Eiffel Tower (€17, 45–70 min). Connecting to Gare de Lyon or Massy for TGV services is possible via RER B (Denfert-Rochereau transfer).

Temperate oceanic climate. Summers are warm (20–27°C) and mostly dry with occasional thunderstorm delays. Winters are cold and overcast (2–8°C) with frequent rain and periodic frost. Snow is rare but CDG briefly closes when it falls on an unprepared system. Fog is the primary winter flight disruption, particularly November through January.

Spring is mild and wet. Autumn is the most unpredictable season weather-wise. CDG is a major hub. Even moderate weather cascades across European connections. Pack a mid-weight jacket year-round. Summers are rarely hot enough for short sleeves in the evenings.
