Dubai to Las Vegas (DXB–LAS) — Airlines, Schedules & Connections

UAE passport holders must obtain a US visa before travel. The UAE is not part of the Visa Waiver Program, so an ESTA is not available. A B1/B2 visitor visa requires an in-person interview at a US embassy or consulate. Processing times vary but can take several weeks. Passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond the intended stay.

Dubai Metro Red Line connects Union and BurJuman stations to T1 and T3 (Airport: Terminal 1 and Terminal 3 stations). T1 is 20 minutes from Union, T3 is 22 minutes (AED 6.50–10 depending on zones and Gold/Silver class). Trains run 5:30am–midnight Saturday–Wednesday, until 1am Thursday–Friday. T2 (low-cost) is not on the metro; taxi or bus required.Taxis from Dubai Marina cost AED 70–90; from Downtown Dubai (Burj Khalifa area) AED 35–50. Ride-hail via Careem is widely available and comparable to taxis. Traffic on Sheikh Zayed Road is heavy during morning and evening rush.

Taxis and ride-shares dominate ground transport. A metered taxi to the Strip costs $20–30; to downtown Las Vegas ("Fremont Street area"), $20–25. Ride-shares are comparable or slightly cheaper.Hotel casino shuttles serve major properties. No rail connects the airport to the Strip. Rental car facilities are at the CONRAC facility adjacent to the terminals, accessible by shuttle. Tunnel project (LVCC Loop) does not serve the airport.

Hot desert climate. Summers are intensely hot (38–45°C) with low humidity. Heat itself rarely disrupts flights, but monsoonal afternoon thunderstorms from July through September can produce brief but severe delays. Microbursts and lightning strikes ground aircraft quickly.

Winters are mild and sunny (5–15°C) with rare frost. Snow is unusual but possible in January and February. Spring dust storms (haboobs) can reduce visibility rapidly. The airport sits at 2,181 feet; thin air affects aircraft performance on extremely hot days.
