Passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond the date of entry. You need a return or onward ticket, proof of accommodation, and evidence of sufficient funds (credit card statement or cash equivalent to $1,000). At Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport (TPE), immigration stamps you in after checking these documents.
The 14-day visa-free stay cannot be extended. For stays beyond 14 days, apply for a visitor visa at the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Bangkok before departure. The visitor visa costs TWD 2,200 (about THB 2,500) for a single entry valid for 60 days. Subtropical climate. Summers (May–September) are hot and very humid at 30–35°C. This is also typhoon season, with storms capable of closing the airport entirely. Winters (December–February) are mild and rainy at 14–18°C. Spring and autumn offer the most comfortable conditions.
