Thai passport holders need a visa to enter India. The easiest option is the e-Visa, applied for online at indianvisaonline.gov.in. The e-Tourist visa costs $25 for 30 days or $40 for 1 year (multiple entry). Processing takes 3 to 5 business days. You receive the e-Visa by email and show the printout at immigration. E-Visa entry is available at 28 designated airports including Delhi (DEL), Mumbai (BOM), Bangalore (BLR), Chennai (MAA), and Kolkata (CCU). Passport must be valid for at least 6 months with two blank pages.

The 30-day e-Visa allows double entry. The 1-year e-Visa allows multiple entries with stays of up to 90 days per visit. A 5-year e-Visa ($80, multiple entry, 90 days per visit) is also available. For those who prefer, the traditional tourist visa can be obtained at the Indian Visa Application Centre (IVAC) in Bangkok on Sukhumvit Soi 23, costing THB 3,500 for 6 months multiple entry.

Direct flights from Bangkok to Delhi run about 4 hours 30 minutes on Air India, Thai Airways, IndiGo, and Thai AirAsia. Bangkok to Mumbai runs about 4 hours 15 minutes on Air India and Thai Airways. Bangkok to Kolkata is just 2 hours 30 minutes on IndiGo and Thai AirAsia. India uses the Indian rupee (INR), trading at roughly 2.4 INR per THB 1. ATMs are abundant. Card payments work at hotels, malls, and restaurants, but carry cash for street vendors and auto-rickshaws. No mandatory vaccinations for entry from Thailand. Delhi's metro costs INR 10 to INR 60 per ride. Mumbai's suburban trains cost INR 5 to INR 15. Ride-hailing apps (Ola, Uber) work across all major cities.

Airport Rail Link (ARL) runs from Phaya Thai station to Suvarnabhumi in 30 minutes (฿45 City Line; ฿90–130 Express, though Express service is often suspended). Trains run 6am to midnight. Transfer at Makkasan for MRT or Phaya Thai for BTS Skytrain.Metered taxis cost ฿250–400 from central Bangkok plus expressway tolls (฿50–75); expect 40–90 minutes depending on traffic. Avoid non-metered taxis; insist on the meter. Ride-share apps (Grab) are widely used and typically cost ฿200–350.

BMTC Vayu Vajra buses depart from outside the arrivals exit to multiple city destinations including Majestic bus station, Kempegowda Station (City Railway), Whitefield, and Electronic City for INR 250–320. Ola and Uber operate from a designated pick-up zone; fares to the city centre run INR 600–1,000 but surge pricing during peak hours can double this. Prepaid taxis are available at a fixed-rate desk inside arrivals.The Metro Yellow Line airport extension provides faster access to central Bengaluru; verify current operating hours and frequency. Rental car desks are in the arrivals hall. Allow extra time for traffic on exit; the BIAL access road is a known bottleneck.

Tropical highland climate. Bengaluru's elevation (920 m) keeps temperatures moderate year-round. Summers (March–May) are the hottest at 28–36°C. The southwest monsoon (June–September) brings heavy daily rainfall with frequent afternoon thunderstorms that cause delays. A weaker northeast monsoon affects October–November.

Winters (December–February) are pleasant and dry at 15–26°C. This is the most comfortable and operationally reliable season. Visibility is generally good outside monsoon months. Bengaluru carries unusually heavy air traffic year-round. Build buffer time for potential congestion even in good weather.
