Saudi passport holders need a Schengen visa to enter Belgium. Apply at the Belgian Embassy in Riyadh. Direct flights from Riyadh to Brussels run about 6 hours on Saudia. Jeddah to Brussels is also available. Connecting through Istanbul, Frankfurt, or Amsterdam adds 2 to 4 hours. Belgium uses the euro, trading at roughly 3.95 SAR per EUR 1. Card payments work everywhere. No mandatory vaccinations. Brussels' STIB system covers metro, trams, and buses at EUR 2.10 per trip or EUR 7.50 for a day pass. Belgium has three official languages (Dutch, French, German), and Brussels is bilingual French-Dutch. Halal food is widely available in Brussels, particularly around the Molenbeek and Schaerbeek neighborhoods. Belgian chocolate and waffles are famously good, and Bruges is 1 hour from Brussels by train (EUR 15.70).

The Haramain High Speed Railway connects JED Airport Station to Jeddah city (King Abdullah Station) in about 15 minutes (SAR 20–25). The same line runs to Mecca and Medina, making it useful for Hajj and Umrah travelers.Taxis from central Jeddah cost SAR 60–100 and take 25–45 minutes. Uber and Careem operate widely and typically run SAR 40–80. Driving yourself is straightforward; the airport is well signed from King Abdulaziz Road and the Ring Road.

The Airport Express train to Brussels Central takes 17 minutes (€11.80) and runs every 15–20 minutes from 05:30 to midnight. The platform is in the basement of the terminal building, no separate transfer needed.Taxis to central Brussels cost €40–55. For Ghent, direct trains run via Leuven (€20, 1h 10min). For Bruges, change at Brussels Midi (€22, 1h 30min total). Rental car desks are in the arrivals hall. Flixbus and other coach services connect from the airport to several European cities.

Temperate oceanic climate with mild, wet conditions year-round. Winters (December–February) are grey and damp at 1–7°C. Fog and freezing drizzle occasionally cause morning delays at BRU. Snow is possible but rarely heavy enough to close the airport.

Summers (June–August) are warm at 18–25°C with occasional thunderstorms. The airport sees its most operationally stable weather in spring (April–May) and early autumn (September). Pack waterproofs regardless of season. Brussels averages 160+ rain days per year.
