China uses the Chinese yuan (CNY), trading at roughly 190 KRW per CNY 1. Cash is nearly obsolete in Chinese cities. Alipay now allows foreign passport holders to link Visa/Mastercard for mobile payments. No mandatory vaccinations. A VPN is needed for Google, KakaoTalk, and most Korean apps inside China.

AREX (Airport Railroad Express) runs two services from Seoul Station: the Direct Train (43 min, ₩11,000, reserved seats) and the All-Stop train (66 min, ₩4,550, unreserved). Both trains serve T1 first, then T2; confirm which terminal your airline uses before boarding.Limousine buses depart from major Seoul neighborhoods and hotels (₩16,000–18,000, 60–90 min depending on traffic). KAL and LIMOUSINE services are reliable. Taxis from central Seoul cost ₩65,000–80,000 and take 60–90 minutes. Deluxe (black) taxis are pricier but English-speaking drivers are more common.

Metro Line 2 to Tianjin Railway Station costs ¥7 and takes 45 minutes. Trains run until 23:00.Taxis from the airport rank to downtown: ¥40–70 (30–45 min). DiDi: ¥35–60. Airport shuttle buses serve Tianjin Railway Station and key hotels for ¥20. TSN is often used by Beijing travelers; connections to Beijing South via Tianjin high-speed rail are straightforward. Rental cars are available in arrivals.

Semi-arid continental climate on the Bohai coast. Winters (December–February) are cold (−8–3°C) with some snow and wind-driven cold. De-icing requirements are moderate. The main winter disruption risk is blowing snow and fog reducing visibility on the coast.

Summers (June–August) are hot and humid at 30–35°C. July is the wettest month with heavy rain from remnant Pacific weather systems. Spring brings sandstorm risk (March–April) from northern deserts. Yellow dust reduces visibility and occasionally grounds flights. The clearest and most stable weather is September through October.
