Houston to Luxembourg (IAH–LUX) — Airlines, Schedules & Connections

Brussels is 3 hours by train, Paris is 2 hours 10 minutes by TGV. Luxembourg made all public transport free nationwide in 2020: buses, trams, and trains are free for everyone, including tourists, in second class throughout the country. No tickets needed. The tram connects the airport to Luxembourg City center in 30 minutes. Luxembourg uses the euro, trading at roughly $1.08 per EUR 1. Card payments work everywhere. Restaurant meals cost EUR 20 to EUR 40 ($22 to $43), reflecting Luxembourg's high-income economy. The country has three official languages: Luxembourgish, French, and German.

IAH has no direct rail link to downtown Houston. The IAH Express bus runs from Houston Amtrak/Greyhound station via Park & Ride to Terminal C (60–90 min, $1.25 with METRO Q card). This is the only transit option; Houston's rail network does not reach the airport.Taxis from downtown Houston cost $50–70 and take 40–60 minutes. Ride-hails (Uber, Lyft) are typically $35–55. IAH sits 23 miles north of downtown on the North Freeway (I-45); traffic is heavy during morning and evening rush. Remote economy parking lots serve all terminals via shuttle.
