Chongqing to Guiyang (Nanming) (CKG–KWE) — Airlines, Schedules & Connections

Chongqing Metro Line 10 runs directly to T3A (the main international and domestic terminal) in 35–45 minutes from Jiaochangkou (city centre), costing ¥6–8. Line 3 also connects to the airport with a transfer. T3B links internally to T3A; check if your terminal is within the same building before choosing a route.Airport shuttle buses serve multiple city zones including Chaotianmen, Guanyinqiao, and Shapingba (¥20–30, 40–70 min). Taxis from the Jiefangbei area cost ¥60–90 and take 40–60 minutes depending on expressway conditions. DiDi is widely available.

Metro Line 2 to central Guiyang (Lincheng Donglu) costs ¥6–8 and takes 35 minutes. Trains run until around 22:30; late arrivals must use a taxi or DiDi.

Taxis from the airport rank cost ¥40–70 to the city center. DiDi is available and runs ¥35–60. Airport shuttle buses to Guiyang North Station (¥15) and downtown hotels (¥10) are cost-effective with luggage. Rental cars are available in the arrivals hall.

Guiyang has a subtropical highland climate. Despite its latitude, the altitude (~1,100m) keeps temperatures mild year-round. Winters (December–February) are cool at 3–10°C with persistent overcast and drizzle. Freezing rain occurs occasionally and is the main icing disruption risk at the airport.

Summers (June–August) are warm and rainy at 24–29°C. The city sees very high cloud cover for much of the year. Guizhou province is known in China as the "sky of ten days without clear skies." Low cloud and fog are regular operational factors from November through March. The most reliable weather is September through October.
