Greek passport holders need a visa for India. The easiest option is the e-Tourist Visa, which you apply for entirely online. A 1-year eVisa costs $40 and a 5-year eVisa costs $80, plus a 2.5% processing fee. Processing takes 3 to 5 business days. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of application with at least 2 blank pages.

You must enter India through one of the 28 designated airports or 5 seaports that process eVisas.

Metro Line 3 (blue line) connects Monastiraki and Syntagma stations in central Athens to the airport in 40 minutes for €10 one-way (€18 return, valid 48 hours). Trains run every 30 minutes from roughly 05:30 to midnight. Suburban rail (Proastiakos) also serves the airport, useful from Piraeus and the northern suburbs.

Express buses (X93 to Kifissos Bus Terminal, X95 to Syntagma, X96 to Piraeus) run 24/7 for €6.20 and take 60–90 minutes depending on traffic. Taxis from the city centre are metered with a flat rate of €40 (day) or €55 (night/holidays) from the airport to downtown. Ride-shares are limited; metered taxis are the standard option.

BMTC Vayu Vajra buses depart from outside the arrivals exit to multiple city destinations including Majestic bus station, Kempegowda Station (City Railway), Whitefield, and Electronic City for INR 250–320. Ola and Uber operate from a designated pick-up zone; fares to the city centre run INR 600–1,000 but surge pricing during peak hours can double this. Prepaid taxis are available at a fixed-rate desk inside arrivals.The Metro Yellow Line airport extension provides faster access to central Bengaluru; verify current operating hours and frequency. Rental car desks are in the arrivals hall. Allow extra time for traffic on exit; the BIAL access road is a known bottleneck.

Tropical highland climate. Bengaluru's elevation (920 m) keeps temperatures moderate year-round. Summers (March–May) are the hottest at 28–36°C. The southwest monsoon (June–September) brings heavy daily rainfall with frequent afternoon thunderstorms that cause delays. A weaker northeast monsoon affects October–November.

Winters (December–February) are pleasant and dry at 15–26°C. This is the most comfortable and operationally reliable season. Visibility is generally good outside monsoon months. Bengaluru carries unusually heavy air traffic year-round. Build buffer time for potential congestion even in good weather.
