Frontier (F9)

Frontier (F9) flies to 130 destinations in 13 countries. Route counts include codeshare and partner-operated flights sold under the F9 code. Mostly domestic (91 routes) with 39 international.

Independent carrier. Not part of any alliance, so miles only work within the F9 program. No shared lounge access with other airlines.

F9 runs everything through Denver (DEN) with 71 nonstop routes. If you're not starting there, you're connecting there.

Frontier Hub Airports

Frontier funnels everything through a single hub. If you're connecting on F9, you're going through Denver. 71 nonstop routes means solid options from there, but no alternatives if that airport has weather problems.

Frontier Fleet & Aircraft Types

7 aircraft types appear on F9 routes. This includes aircraft operated by partner airlines, not just Frontier metal.

Find your Frontier seat map

Match the aircraft code and seat count on your booking. When an aircraft has more than one configuration, open it to compare the layouts before choosing a seat. Aircraft assignments can change.

Frontier Operating Partners

Not every flight with a F9 number is actually Frontier. These partner airlines operate routes under the F9 code. Your booking and flight number say F9, but the plane and crew belong to one of these carriers.

On shorter routes from the hubs, this usually means a regional jet. Smaller plane, tighter bins. Check the aircraft code when you book. If it says E175, CRJ, or ATR, that's a partner regional jet.
