Warsaw to Tabarka (WAW–TBJ) — Airlines, Schedules & Connections

Polish passport holders enter Tunisia visa-free for up to 90 days. No fee, no advance application. Passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond the date of entry. At Tunis-Carthage (TUN), Enfidha-Hammamet (NBE), or Djerba-Zarzis (DJE), you fill out a white entry card and receive a passport stamp. Have your hotel address ready for the form.

The 90-day stay cannot be extended as a tourist. For longer stays, you need a residence permit applied for at the local police station before the 90 days expire. Overstaying results in a fine at the airport (about TND 20 per week of overstay, roughly PLN 27). Tunisia is not in the Schengen zone, so your time here does not count against Schengen limits.

Direct flights from Warsaw to Monastir (MIR) or Enfidha run about 3 hours on charter carriers during the tourist season (April to October). Year-round, connect through Istanbul (3 hours to Tunis on Turkish Airlines or Tunisair) or Paris. Tunisia uses the Tunisian dinar (TND), trading at roughly 0.76 TND per PLN 1. ATMs are common in tourist areas. The dinar is a closed currency, meaning you cannot buy or sell it outside Tunisia. No mandatory vaccinations. Louages (shared minibuses) connect cities cheaply: Tunis to Sousse costs about TND 10 (PLN 13), taking 2 hours. Taxis are metered in cities at about TND 0.50 per km.

SKM (Szybka Kolej Miejska) commuter rail Line S2/S3 connects Warsaw Central (Warszawa Centralna) to WAW in 25 minutes (PLN 4.40 within Zone 1, or PLN 7.00 including Zone 2). Trains depart roughly every 15–30 minutes. The platform is directly below the terminal; no bus transfer needed.Bus lines 175, 188, and N32 (night) serve the city center for PLN 4.40. Taxis cost PLN 40–60 from the center (20–30 min). Uber and Bolt (dominant ride-share in Poland) run PLN 30–50. Parking from PLN 30/day in the remote car park.
