Austria is part of the US Visa Waiver Program. Austrian passport holders can enter the United States for up to 90 days without a visa, but must obtain an approved ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorization) before boarding. The City Airport Train (CAT) runs non-stop between Wien Mitte station and VIE in 16 minutes (€14.90 one-way, €24.90 return). The S7 commuter rail covers the same route with stops in 30–35 minutes for €4.20.Taxis are metered but expensive; expect €35–45 from the city center. Uber and ride-shares cost €25–35. Parking at VIE runs €8–14/day in the remote lot with shuttle.

DART Orange Line runs to downtown Dallas (50 min, $3). TEXRail reaches downtown Fort Worth in 55 minutes ($2.50). Taxis and ride-shares cost $25–45 to either city center.Rental car facilities are at the south end. All terminals connect via the free Skylink train; this is an airside-only connection, so you must clear security first to use it.

Spring (March–May) brings severe thunderstorms and tornado risk that regularly ground flights. Fall is the best travel window with moderate temperatures and low storm frequency.
