The rainy season (May–October) brings daily afternoon thunderstorms, typically between 3–7pm, which frequently cause delays and can be intense. Hail is possible.

Dry season (November–April) offers the most reliable flying conditions. The airport's elevation means aircraft have reduced performance on hot days. Dense morning smog is common in winter inversions and occasionally reduces visibility. Earthquake risk (significant for Mexico City) has no direct flight impact but is worth knowing.
