Moroccan passport holders need a Schengen visa to enter Belgium. Apply at the Belgian Embassy in Rabat or through TLScontact in Casablanca. A short-stay visa (Type C) costs EUR 80 (about MAD 880) and allows up to 90 days within any 180-day period across the Schengen zone. Processing takes 10 to 15 working days but can stretch to 4 weeks during peak season (June to August). Belgium is one of the most-visited Schengen countries for Moroccan nationals due to the large Moroccan diaspora.

Required documents include a passport valid for at least 3 months beyond planned departure from the Schengen area with two blank pages, two passport photos, completed application form, travel insurance covering EUR 30,000 minimum, round-trip flight booking, hotel reservations or a host invitation letter (attestation d'accueil from the Belgian commune), bank statements from the last 3 months, and employment documentation. If visiting family, the Belgian host must submit an Annexe 3bis guarantor form at their local commune, which can take 2 to 3 weeks to process.

Direct flights from Casablanca (CMN) to Brussels (BRU) run about 3 hours on Royal Air Maroc, Brussels Airlines, and TUI fly. Ryanair operates Marrakech to Brussels South Charleroi (CRL). Belgium uses the euro. No mandatory vaccinations. A MOBIB card works on all Brussels STIB buses, trams, and metro (EUR 2.10 per ride, or EUR 8 for a day pass). French and Arabic are both widely spoken in Brussels given the Moroccan community, particularly in the Molenbeek, Saint-Josse, and Schaerbeek communes.

The Airport Express train to Brussels Central takes 17 minutes (€11.80) and runs every 15–20 minutes from 05:30 to midnight. The platform is in the basement of the terminal building, no separate transfer needed.Taxis to central Brussels cost €40–55. For Ghent, direct trains run via Leuven (€20, 1h 10min). For Bruges, change at Brussels Midi (€22, 1h 30min total). Rental car desks are in the arrivals hall. Flixbus and other coach services connect from the airport to several European cities.

Temperate oceanic climate with mild, wet conditions year-round. Winters (December–February) are grey and damp at 1–7°C. Fog and freezing drizzle occasionally cause morning delays at BRU. Snow is possible but rarely heavy enough to close the airport.

Summers (June–August) are warm at 18–25°C with occasional thunderstorms. The airport sees its most operationally stable weather in spring (April–May) and early autumn (September). Pack waterproofs regardless of season. Brussels averages 160+ rain days per year.
