Madrid to Chişinău (MAD–RMO) — Airlines, Schedules & Connections

Spanish passport holders enter Moldova visa-free for up to 90 days within any 180-day period. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry with at least 2 blank pages. No advance registration or eVisa is required. Immigration at Chisinau Airport is straightforward.

Moldova is not in the EU or Schengen area. You will pass through passport control on arrival. Have your return ticket and accommodation details ready. Immigration officers may ask about your travel purpose and where you are staying.

If you plan to stay longer than 90 days, apply for a temporary residence permit at the Bureau of Migration and Asylum (BMA) in Chisinau before your 90 days expire. The Transnistria region operates as a de facto separate entity. If you visit Transnistria, you receive a separate paper entry slip at the Transnistrian checkpoint. This does not affect your Moldovan visa status, but keep the paper until you exit Transnistria.

Metro Line 8 runs from Nuevos Ministerios (central Madrid) to T1/T2/T3 in 12–15 minutes (€6, including the airport supplement). T4 requires an additional free shuttle from T2; add 10 minutes. The Cercanías commuter train (Line C-1) reaches T4 from Atocha station in 25 minutes (€2.60, no supplement).Taxis have a fixed fare of €30 from central Madrid zones. The ride is typically 20–35 minutes depending on traffic. Avenida de América bus hub serves several airport bus routes (€5).
