Spanish passport holders enter Peru visa-free for up to 183 days. The immigration officer at the airport decides how many days to grant, and it may be less than 183. State your intended stay clearly and ask for the full 183 if you need it. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from arrival.

Extensions are handled at the Migraciones office in Lima or regional offices. The extension fee is around PEN 50. Apply before your granted stay expires. Overstaying results in a fine of about USD 1 per day, payable at the airport on departure.

Peru requires proof of yellow fever vaccination if you are visiting jungle regions like Iquitos, Puerto Maldonado, or Manu. The vaccination is not required for Lima, Cusco, or the coast. Get the shot at least 10 days before entering the jungle zone.

Metro Line 8 runs from Nuevos Ministerios (central Madrid) to T1/T2/T3 in 12–15 minutes (€6, including the airport supplement). T4 requires an additional free shuttle from T2; add 10 minutes. The Cercanías commuter train (Line C-1) reaches T4 from Atocha station in 25 minutes (€2.60, no supplement).Taxis have a fixed fare of €30 from central Madrid zones. The ride is typically 20–35 minutes depending on traffic. Avenida de América bus hub serves several airport bus routes (€5).
