Air and sea border checks with Schengen were lifted in March 2024, so flights from Spain land without passport control. From Maspalomas and the southern resorts, Line 66 runs to the airport in 40–50 minutes (€4.35).Taxis from Las Palmas city center cost €25–35. From Maspalomas: €30–40. The GC-1 motorway runs directly to the airport. Rental cars are the dominant transport mode for island visitors; return desks are in the terminal building.
