Saudi passport holders enter Tunisia visa-free for up to 90 days. No fee, no advance application. Passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond the date of entry. At Tunis-Carthage (TUN) or Enfidha-Hammamet (NBE), fill out the white entry card and receive a stamp. Have your hotel address ready for the form.

The 90-day stay cannot be extended as a tourist. For longer stays, apply for a residence permit at the local police station before the 90 days expire. Overstaying results in a fine at the airport of about TND 20 per week (roughly SAR 25). Tunisia and Saudi Arabia share Arabic as an official language, though Tunisian Arabic (Derja) differs significantly from Gulf Arabic. French is the second language in business and education.

Direct flights from Jeddah to Tunis run about 4 hours 30 minutes on Tunisair and Saudia, with service picking up during Hajj and Umrah seasons in the reverse direction. Riyadh to Tunis routes often connect through Cairo, Istanbul, or a Gulf hub. Tunisia uses the Tunisian dinar (TND), trading at roughly 0.83 TND per SAR 1. ATMs are common in cities. The dinar is a closed currency and cannot be purchased or sold outside Tunisia. No mandatory vaccinations. Louages (shared minibuses) connect Tunisian cities cheaply: Tunis to Sousse costs about TND 10 (SAR 12) for a 2-hour ride. Taxis are metered at about TND 0.50 per km.

The Haramain High Speed Railway connects JED Airport Station to Jeddah city (King Abdullah Station) in about 15 minutes (SAR 20–25). The same line runs to Mecca and Medina, making it useful for Hajj and Umrah travelers.Taxis from central Jeddah cost SAR 60–100 and take 25–45 minutes. Uber and Careem operate widely and typically run SAR 40–80. Driving yourself is straightforward; the airport is well signed from King Abdulaziz Road and the Ring Road.
