Jaipur to Dubai (JAI–DXB) — Airlines, Schedules & Connections

Indian passport holders need a visa to enter the UAE. The most common option is a 30-day tourist visa, available through airlines (Emirates and Air India offer visa services at booking), travel agencies, or UAE-based sponsors via the ICA or GDRFA portals. A 30-day single-entry visa costs AED 300 to AED 350 (about $82 to $95) plus service fees that vary by provider. Processing takes 3 to 5 working days. A 14-day transit visa through Emirates costs around AED 100 ($27) if you have an Emirates ticket. There is no visa on arrival for Indian nationals.

Passport must be valid for at least 6 months with two blank pages. Required documents include a passport copy, passport-sized photo with white background, confirmed return ticket, and proof of accommodation. Some providers also ask for bank statements showing a minimum balance (typically INR 50,000 to INR 100,000). The visa is sent electronically and linked to your passport number. Print a copy for the airline check-in counter.

Direct flights from Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Kochi, Chennai, Bengaluru, Kolkata, and several other Indian cities serve Dubai and Abu Dhabi, with flight times of 3 to 4 hours. Emirates, Air India, IndiGo, and flydubai run heavy frequency on these routes. The UAE dirham (AED) is pegged to the US dollar at 3.6725 AED per $1. No vaccination requirements for Indian arrivals. ATMs and currency exchanges are abundant at all UAE airports. Metro and bus systems in Dubai accept the Nol card, available at stations for AED 25 including AED 19 credit.

Metro runs from 5:30am; early morning arrivals may need to wait. T2 is not served by metro; RTA buses run to Al Ghubaiba (Bus 402) for AED 3.Taxis from DXB to Downtown Dubai cost AED 35–55 (airport taxi surcharge applies). Careem and Uber operate from designated zones. Ride-hails must be booked via app; street hailing is not permitted in terminal areas.

Desert climate, hot, dry, and sunny virtually year-round. Summers (June–September) are extreme: 38–48°C with high humidity near the coast. Heat stress slows ground operations but rarely causes weather cancellations. Winter (December–February) is DXB's peak season at 18–28°C with minimal rain and near-constant sunshine.

Occasional sandstorms (haboob) reduce visibility sharply and can ground flights for hours, most likely in spring (April–May) and summer. Light rain falls in winter and can cause road flooding on Dubai's drainage-limited road network. A light jacket is sufficient for winter evenings.
