South Korean passport holders enter New Zealand visa-free for up to 90 days. Passport must be valid for at least 3 months beyond your planned departure from New Zealand. At immigration, have your NZeTA confirmation (linked to your passport electronically), return ticket, and proof of funds (NZD 1,000 per month or NZD 400 per month if accommodation is prepaid). New Zealand uses SmartGate automated kiosks at Auckland (AKL) and other major airports for eligible passport holders, making arrival processing quick.

Direct flights from Seoul Incheon to Auckland run about 11 hours 30 minutes on Korean Air and Air New Zealand. New Zealand uses the New Zealand dollar (NZD), trading at roughly 1.65 NZD per $1. Card payments work everywhere, including farmers' markets and small towns. No mandatory vaccinations. New Zealand has strict biosecurity rules: declare all food, plant material, outdoor gear (especially hiking boots), and camping equipment. Undeclared items result in an instant NZD 400 fine. Driving is on the left side, and an International Driving Permit is valid for up to 12 months.

AREX (Airport Railroad Express) runs two services from Seoul Station: the Direct Train (43 min, ₩11,000, reserved seats) and the All-Stop train (66 min, ₩4,550, unreserved). Both trains serve T1 first, then T2; confirm which terminal your airline uses before boarding.Limousine buses depart from major Seoul neighborhoods and hotels (₩16,000–18,000, 60–90 min depending on traffic). KAL and LIMOUSINE services are reliable. Taxis from central Seoul cost ₩65,000–80,000 and take 60–90 minutes. Deluxe (black) taxis are pricier but English-speaking drivers are more common.
