German passport holders can enter Brazil visa-free for up to 90 days per 180-day period. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from arrival. No advance paperwork, no fees, no eVisa. Just show up with a return or onward ticket and proof of accommodation.

At immigration you get a stamp and that is it. The 90-day window can be extended once for another 90 days at a Policia Federal office inside Brazil. The extension fee is BRL 204. Apply at least 15 days before your initial 90 days expire.

Brazil does not require proof of yellow fever vaccination for entry from Germany, but the vaccine is mandatory if you plan to visit the Amazon region, Mato Grosso, or other interior states. Get it at least 10 days before traveling to those areas.

S-Bahn lines S8 and S9 run from Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof (main station) to Terminal 1 every 15 minutes (15 min, €5.65 single or included in a Frankfurt day ticket). ICE and IC long-distance trains serve the airport's own long-distance station (Fernbahnhof); this is separate from the S-Bahn Regional station and connects Frankfurt to Cologne, Stuttgart, Munich, and other cities without requiring travel through the city centre.Taxis from the city centre cost €25–35 and take 15–25 minutes. Terminal 2 connects to Terminal 1 via the free SkyLine people mover.
