Irish passport holders enter Morocco visa-free for up to 90 days. No fee, no advance application. Passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond the entry date with at least one blank page. A landing card is filled out on the plane or at immigration, requiring your accommodation address in Morocco.

No supporting documents are formally required beyond the passport and landing card, but having a return ticket and hotel confirmation avoids questions. Extensions beyond 90 days require leaving the country and re-entering. The most common method is a quick trip to Spain (Algeciras ferry from Tangier, about 1 hour). There is no official in-country extension process for tourist stays.

Direct flights from Dublin to Marrakech run about 3 hours 30 minutes on Ryanair. Agadir has seasonal service. Morocco uses the Moroccan dirham (MAD), trading at roughly 10 MAD per EUR 1. The dirham is a closed currency and cannot be purchased outside Morocco. ATMs at airports offer competitive rates. Euros are informally accepted in tourist zones but at unfavorable rates. No mandatory vaccinations. Tap water is safe in major cities (Marrakech, Rabat, Casablanca) but stick to bottled water in smaller towns.

Dublin Bus route 747 (Airlink) runs from the city centre (O'Connell Street) to the airport in 30–50 minutes, costing €7 one-way or €12 return. DART rail does not serve the airport directly; the nearest station requires a bus connection. Ride-shares from the city centre typically cost €20–35 depending on traffic.

The M50 and M1 motorways feed into the airport; short-term parking in Terminal 1 or 2 costs from €4/30 min, while long-stay lots (P3/P4) are significantly cheaper for multi-day trips. Allow extra time during morning and evening rush hours on the M50.
