Saudi passport holders enter Egypt visa-free for up to 90 days. No fee, no advance application. Passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond the date of entry. At Cairo International (CAI), Hurghada (HRG), or Sharm El Sheikh (SSH), Saudi nationals receive a stamp at immigration and are through quickly. Multiple daily frequencies on both routes with low fares on budget carriers. Egypt uses the Egyptian pound (EGP), trading at roughly 13 EGP per SAR 1. ATMs are everywhere, and card payments work at hotels, malls, and restaurants. No mandatory vaccinations. Cairo's metro costs EGP 8 per ride (about SAR 0.60). Uber and Careem operate across Cairo, Alexandria, and resort cities. The Grand Egyptian Museum near the Giza pyramids opened in 2024 and charges EGP 600 (SAR 46) for foreign visitors.
