The 90-day stay can be extended at the Direccion General de Migraciones in Asuncion. Paraguay is a Mercosur member, and crossing into Argentina or Brazil from border cities is common. Ciudad del Este sits across the Friendship Bridge from Foz do Iguacu, Brazil, and Encarnacion connects to Posadas, Argentina, by bridge. Both crossings require clearing immigration on each side.

No direct flights connect the US to Paraguay. Route through Lima (about 4 hours to ASU on LATAM), Sao Paulo (about 2 hours on LATAM or Amaszonas), Buenos Aires (about 1 hour 45 minutes on Aerolineas Argentinas), or Panama City (about 5 hours 30 minutes on Copa). Asuncion's Costanera riverside promenade and the Jesuit missions of Trinidad and Jesus (UNESCO sites near Encarnacion) are the standout destinations.

RTD A Line commuter rail runs from Denver Union Station to the airport (37 min, $10.50). Trains depart every 15 minutes during peak hours. The airport is 25 miles northeast of downtown; ride-shares cost $35–55 and take 30–45 minutes depending on I-70 traffic.Economy parking in lots 4–6 connects via free shuttle. Mountain shuttle services depart from Jeppesen Terminal's Ground Transportation level.
