No customs or passport control between US states and Puerto Rico, so after clearing CBP at your departure airport in Mexico, arrival in San Juan is domestic. No mandatory vaccinations. ADO buses run from downtown Cancún bus terminal to the airport for MXN 102 (about USD $5) in 20–25 minutes. The Tren Maya (Maya Train) opened a station at CUN Airport (Terminal 4), connecting to the broader Yucatán rail network. Taxis from the Hotel Zone (Zona Hotelera) cost MXN 350–550 (USD $17–28) depending on the zone.Authorized taxis from the airport are sold by ticket inside the terminal; agree on the fare before leaving the building to avoid inflated street prices. Uber is blocked from airport pick-ups by local taxi concessions; use the authorised taxi stand. Car rental is available at all four terminals.
