RER B train runs from central Paris (Châtelet–Les Halles, Gare du Nord) to CDG T2 in 30–35 minutes (€11.80, RATP fare). From T2, a free CDGVAL people mover covers T1 and T3. Train frequency is every 10–15 minutes; service runs from around 5am to midnight.
Taxis from Paris have a fixed fare: €55 to the Right Bank (most of central Paris), €65 to the Left Bank. Journey time is 30–60 minutes depending on traffic on the A1. Ride-hail (Uber, Bolt) is often cheaper. Buses (Le Bus Direct) run from major Left Bank and Right Bank stops (€17).
Metro Line 3 runs from the airport to the city centre and Harbin Station in 40–50 minutes for CNY 6–10. Taxis and DiDi queue outside arrivals; fares to downtown are CNY 60–100. Airport shuttle buses serve multiple zones and the railway station for CNY 20. In winter, confirm transportation availability; heavy snowfall occasionally disrupts surface transport temporarily.Harbin is a hub for northeast China (Manchuria) with connections to Shenyang, Dalian, Changchun, and cross-border routes to Russia. Severe subarctic continental climate, one of the coldest major cities in China. Winters (November–March) are extreme, with temperatures regularly reaching −20 to −30°C and occasional lows below −35°C. Heavy snowfall, black ice, and extreme cold cause frequent de-icing delays and occasional ground stops. Harbin's famous Ice Festival runs January–February.
Summers (June–August) are short and warm at 22–30°C with low humidity and good flying conditions. Spring and autumn are brief transitional periods. Pack the heaviest possible cold-weather gear for winter travel. Thin layers are wholly inadequate.
