Budapest to Poznań (BUD–POZ) — Airlines, Schedules & Connections

Hungarian passport holders enter Poland freely as EU and Schengen citizens. No visa, no fee, no time limit on stays. A valid Hungarian national ID card or passport is sufficient. Both countries are in the Schengen Area, so flights between them operate with no border control.

A PESEL number (personal identification number) is obtained at the local municipal office (urzad gminy) and is required for banking, healthcare, and tax filings.

Direct flights from Budapest to Warsaw run about 1 hour 20 minutes on LOT and Wizz Air. Budapest to Krakow is about 1 hour 10 minutes. Poland uses the Polish zloty (PLN), trading at roughly 4.3 PLN per EUR 1. Card payments are accepted nearly everywhere. No vaccination requirements. Hungary and Poland share a historically close relationship, and Hungarian tourists are well received. Hungarian driving licenses are valid throughout the stay.
