Bogota to Lisbon (BOG–LIS) — Airlines, Schedules & Connections

Colombian passport holders enter Portugal and the Schengen area visa-free for up to 90 days within any 180-day period. ETIAS travel authorization will be required once the EU system launches (expected late 2026). Passport must be valid for at least 3 months beyond the planned departure from the Schengen zone. This covers mainland Portugal, the Azores, and Madeira.

TransMilenio bus (Route K11 or feeder routes) connects to the airport from major stations in the BRT network for COP 3,000–4,000 (around $0.75). The airport bus terminal is adjacent to the terminal building; journey time from central Bogotá is 30–60 minutes depending on traffic.Taxis from Zona Rosa or the historic center cost COP 25,000–40,000 (about $6–10) and take 25–45 minutes. InDriver and Uber (operating as a peer-to-peer service) run slightly cheaper. Avoid unlicensed taxis; use only yellow metered cabs or apps. Traffic on the Avenida El Dorado is consistently congested during morning and evening peaks.

Metro Red Line directly from the airport station to central Lisbon in 20–25 minutes (€1.85 single). Most central destinations (Rossio, Baixa-Chiado, Oriente) are reachable within 30 minutes total. Operating hours 6:30am to 1am.Taxis cost €10–15 to the city centre. Uber and Bolt are cheaper still at €8–12. AeroBus to Marquês de Pombal costs €4. The airport is just 7km from the city centre; ground transport is fast by European standards.

Mediterranean climate. Summers are hot and sunny (28–35°C) with almost no rain. July and August rarely see any precipitation and offer the most reliable flying weather in Europe. Winters are mild and rainy (8–15°C), with the wettest months December through February.

Flight disruptions are uncommon. Atlantic coastal fog can affect early morning visibility in autumn (October–November). Wind off the Atlantic is persistent year-round and can affect smaller aircraft but rarely disrupts scheduled service.
