US passport holders enter Malta visa-free for up to 90 days within any 180-day period across the entire Schengen area. No advance application is needed. Malta is an EU member and Schengen member. Passport must be valid for at least 3 months beyond the planned departure from the Schengen area. At Malta International Airport (MLA), immigration stamps your passport at the non-EU line.

Malta is an archipelago of three inhabited islands: Malta (the largest, 246 square km), Gozo, and Comino. The Gozo ferry from Cirkewwa runs every 45 minutes and takes 25 minutes. Comino's Blue Lagoon is a popular swimming and snorkeling spot reachable by boat from both Malta and Gozo.

Getting to ATL

MARTA Gold Line runs every 12–15 minutes from downtown Five Points station to the airport (16 min, $2.50). The station connects directly to the Domestic terminal via SkyTrain. Ride-shares cost $20–35 from downtown.

Economy parking in the North/South garages fills quickly; off-site lots on Camp Creek Parkway offer cheaper rates with shuttles.
