Dutch passport holders enter Morocco visa-free for up to 90 days. No fee, no advance application. Passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond the date of entry. You receive a passport stamp on arrival. Fill out the arrival card at the immigration counter with your accommodation address and contact details.

At Mohammed V Airport (CMN) in Casablanca, Marrakech Menara (RAK), or any Moroccan port of entry, processing is fast. No return ticket or hotel booking is formally checked, but having them ready avoids delays. The 90-day stay is per visit. Overstaying results in a ban on re-entry, so track your dates. Given the large Moroccan-Dutch community, Dutch nationals are among the most frequent visitors and the process is efficient.

Direct flights from Amsterdam Schiphol to Casablanca run about 3 hours 30 minutes on KLM, Royal Air Maroc, and Transavia. Direct flights also serve Marrakech, Tangier, Nador, Oujda, and Agadir from Amsterdam and Eindhoven. Morocco uses the Moroccan dirham (MAD), trading at roughly 10.8 MAD per EUR 1. ATMs are common in all cities. Card payments work at hotels and larger shops but cash dominates in souks, cafes, and taxis. No mandatory vaccinations. Petit taxis (within cities) are metered in theory, so insist on the meter or agree on a price before boarding. Marrakech to Essaouira by Supratours bus takes about 2 hours 30 minutes and costs MAD 80.

Intercity and Sprinter trains run directly to Schiphol Plaza (the station is inside the terminal) from Amsterdam Centraal every 10–15 minutes (15 min, €5.70). The Intercity Direct from Rotterdam takes 43 minutes (€17.40 with supplement). Trains from The Hague take 35–45 minutes.

Taxis from central Amsterdam cost €35–50 and take 20–35 minutes. Highway A4 is frequently congested during morning rush. Bus 397 runs from Amsterdam Leidseplein to Schiphol (30 min, €5.50) for a cheaper landside alternative.
