China has transit visa exemptions (24-hour, 72-hour, or 144-hour) for certain airports and nationalities. Ethiopian passport holders are eligible for the 144-hour transit visa-free policy at selected airports including Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou if transiting to a third country. Airport bus routes serve multiple hotel and transport hubs across the city.Zhengzhou is a major high-speed rail node with frequent connections to Beijing, Shanghai, Xi'an, and Wuhan from Zhengzhou East Station. Humid continental climate. Summers (June–August) are hot and humid at 28–36°C with heavy rainfall; flooding and severe thunderstorms are genuine risks and can disrupt ground operations. Winters (December–February) are cold and dry at −4 to 5°C, with occasional snow and freezing fog causing de-icing delays.
Zhengzhou is prone to extreme weather events, including the historic July 2021 floods. Spring and autumn are mild and pleasant. Sandstorms can occur in spring, occasionally reducing visibility at the airport.
