Spanish passport holders enter Norway freely under the Schengen agreement. Norway is a full Schengen member, so flights from Spain arrive without passport control. A Spanish national ID card or passport works for entry. No visa or advance paperwork is needed for any length of stay.

Norway is not in the EU, but the EEA agreement gives EU citizens the right to live and work there. If you plan to stay longer than 3 months, register with the local police within 3 months of arrival. The registration is done online through UDI (Norwegian Directorate of Immigration) and confirmed at a police station appointment. There is no fee.

Norway uses the Norwegian krone, not the euro. Card payments are accepted almost everywhere, including small shops and market stalls. Carrying cash is optional.

Global bus Line 60 connects Las Palmas (Santa Catalina bus station) to LPA in about 25–30 minutes (€2.95). Service is frequent from around 06:00 to midnight. From Maspalomas and the southern resorts, Line 66 runs to the airport in 40–50 minutes (€4.35).Taxis from Las Palmas city center cost €25–35. From Maspalomas: €30–40. The GC-1 motorway runs directly to the airport. Rental cars are the dominant transport mode for island visitors; return desks are in the terminal building.
